The Cedars PRU website
I find my web skills and knowledge are expanding with each successive website I build. For those that are interested here’s is the latest website I’ve built for a local school.
Getting used to Flash Catalyst now. It’s allowing me to focus more on design and animation now I know the basics.
Thinking about the basic values of Swiss Design. A lot of thought went in to minor details such as colour, contrast, readability and audience.
I’m currently using Flash Catalyst to create an Interactive map for a website. I have to say that although It may be a bit limited, it’s so much easier than all the key-framing and embedded animations I would need to build If I was using standard Flash.
LESSONS IN BAD DESIGN.
A short while ago I was suddenly asked to design a logo for school uniform. With a 30 minute deadline. I quickly drew up my ideas as you can see in the top Image. I was quite pleased with what I had accomplished in 30mins.
Later on I was told my design had been rejected in favour of the abomination you can see in the bottom image.
Working on a new website for “The Cedars” PRU School. I expect to the design to evolve quite a bit before it’s final. I also plan to learn some HTML5 in the process.
